Default RE: Maybe it is youth...

ORIGINAL: 1 Bad Mirada

having coached college students, i tend to refer to most people younger than me as "kids"...i dont mean it as a negative term, its just a habit...
The reason why I get defensive when someone calls me a kids is that many people who call me a kid use it to make a point that because I am younger than them, I must therefore be a moron and incapable of logical thinking. They blow me off because they think I can't possibly know anything they know. Although I may not be the smartest man alive, I am still pretty intelligent and deserve respect for the intelligence that I have.

Enjoy it, because you get old quick.
Actually, I look forward to getting older for a few reasons:
1. Girls will become less superficial and will find that there are more important values in a husband than how good he is at sports.
2. I will be able to afford a house of my own, instead of a dorm hall full of people who pull the fire alarms at 2:00 a.m. because they are completely wasted.
3. I will have the opporunity to emerge from the shadows of my cousins' success which is more obvious to the naked eye since they have been recognized as being "best in state" in various sports and been on TV for it more than once, whereas the success I has gone unnoticed so far, but I believe the projects I'm working on right now will be recognized in a couple years.

Kelly, don't take anything I have said on this topic as to mean I'm offended. I just had a really long and bad week so I'm just blowing off steam is all. Plus, I was working on something last night and the computer lost it, which is 5-6 hours down the drain.
