inevitable, if you dont care about brand specific and just want performance
which most young people do the power to weight ratio just isnt right with the
challenger and it needs a major diet to compete especially when you have a

V6 mustang running
0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.7 at 102.0 mph

and a v6 2010 camaro (because i cant find the 2011 specs)
0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and the quarter-mile in 14.5 seconds at 99 mph.

and a v6 2011 challenger
0 to 60 mph: in 6.4 sec and the quarter-mile in 14.9 sec at 94 mph

so long as the challenger remians a huge porky porkster the other brands
will continue to outsell it
