Dodge does not govern what the dealers charge for their cars. I have been in sales and marketing for over 15 years and I will share a phrase I hear from time to time that I think you should get used to. "Pitch 'em high - watch 'em buy!"

Salespeople are trained that if you offer a high price initially there is room to negotiate and back down a bit if you need to. You would be surprised how many times someone will simply buy a product on the first price and not even attempt to negotiate. Price of the Challenger will depend on the level of production and the demand. Dealers will try to get every dime they can...bet on it.
