Default Seat Quick Release

I have had the car one week. It has around 400 miles on it. The passenger seat quick release has been used around a dozen times. Tonight I lifted up on the release to let my little boy in the back and heard a snap. The quick release now does nothing.

Can I expect more of the same in other areas of the car? Has anyone else had this issue? Is this covered under warranty?

WTF?

Sorry to hear that and yes, it will be covered under the warranty. You got an SRT8, R/T or SE?

I would think they are all covered. I'm just keeping track of reported failures in a spreadsheet for my own record.

Oddly, tonight was the first time I ever used the release (we had some packages with us that I didn't want to bother putting in the trunk). Guess I'll go back to putting everything in the trunk.

The way it happened it was like the mechanism was not rigged right. Almost like when the lever was raised up it was overdriving the linkage. I really didn't put a lot of force on it. I raised the lever with my right hand and reached in behind the seat with my left and pushed the seat forward. The lever had a little pressure on it but not that much. The temp here is in the low 40's which may have made some of the plastic brittle or something. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow.

Are these seats the same as a Charger or Magnum or something else, or are they Challenger specific?

I'd imagine Challenger-specific. You wouldn't need one in a four-door car.
