RE: spoiler
I really dig the Plum Crazy one. If I could get one, it would look exactly like that, HEMI stripe and all. 6spd and 6.1L engine as well. Good work on those pics Rich.
Oh, I decided to edit the pic a little more to make it even more retro. It's not perfect, but you get the idea.

So all the pic's of 70 challangers with pedistal spoiler are aftermarket? Like all the first gen firebirds with spoilers? If the 70's didn't have one then I wont be putting one (I don't think not sure yet)on no matter how tough it looks. My goal is to have the car as going down street to be mistaken for a custom 70's car.

1970 Challengers did come from the factory with the pedastal spoiler. It was called the Go-Wing option. My 1970 'Cuda has this spoiler and it came with it from the factory.

RE: spioler
The "duck tail" spoiler like we have seen on the production 08 Challenger spy shots is similar to the spoiler that came originally on the 1970 Challenger T/A's.

I don't do street racing. If I want to race it to see what it will do as I do my performance mods I'll go to track. Its not like the old days anymore when you could find a vacant road at night and no one was around not involved. Now days to populated and to high of risk of some one not involved in race getting hurt. I just like to have to power to pass and not have to guess if I have the time or room. I also love to turn heads and get the wow facture. I guess I am at the piont were I build cars for myself and don't have the urge to prove anything to anyone. It is nice though to sit at a intersection and have a person pull up and and egg you to race, so you crack the throdel a few and see there jaw drop and they back off. Trust me if I could afford the 6.1 I would or even the rumered 6.4 talked about coming later. but 6cyl NEVER
