Why would you put a hitch on a Challenger? besides the only reson i would consider putting one on is for towing a4place snowmobile trailer. but the frame was not meant for that kind of towing.

Check my signature and see what I drive. The Challenger is the only thing with any guts to pull anything! :D

Well i guess it would be cool to see the faces on some guy in a F-350 superduty mega cab, or whatever, when i pass him up on the highway towing a 4place encolsed with some 500 pound snowmobiles.

I actuly though this was gonna be a E body chassis turned into a trailer! Now that would be awsome.

I had my head up under the back of my Challenger this afternoon, and I'm still puzzling how to get a hitch under there without cutting or drilling. Hmmm... there are those big tie-downs bolted to the frame rail...;)

OK, I have been swayed to post again by the kind words. Thanks. The trailer has now been painted. Yes, it is plum just like the car. It is now almost finished, I need to do some small things still, like a spare tire mount and some trim items. The car and trailer can also be seen in the Feb. 08 Mopar action mag. on page 50.

As far as the trailer hitch on the car... That did take some work to make it fit. I have the dual tips out back and they made an easy install out of the question. The hitch is custom made (by me) to fit around every thing. It is made in 5 parts. (see pics.) I did have to drill 4 holes into the rear frame to bolt to the car. Also 2 holes have been drilled into the bumper by the tag light.

That is cool. If the opportunity present itself, I may do the same thing myself. I am not setup to do welding or cutting but I would make it happen.

Nice....it's different which is what it's all about. And as long as it was going to the junker anyway.....why not.

Very cool. And I can't seem to find enough time in the garage to get squat done these days. My hat is off to you.
