I agree. We can't avoid having government - at all/varying levels.
My problem is that I don't think it accurately reflects the majority of the citizens. It represents the most vocal citizens.
And I think government has gotten too big - for everyone's good. Too many agencies to effectively oversee and control, and getting into areas it shouldn't have ANY say in.

I won't go any further (I too could go on endlessly on this subject). Papa always said "Don't get into arguments about politics or religion - they're never "won", and they never end."
