Good article, paints a 60s/70s muscle revisionist era right on the horizon. Oh I hope there's a resurgence. The American automotive industry could sure stand a shot in the arm.
I wasn't even alive back in the 70's but i agree wit u 110% bring back the musclecar era

Currently, the Charger offers a 250-hp, 3.5L V6 and 335-hp, 5.7-liter V8.
LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL![sm=lol.gif]

Consumer Reports has their facts mixed up. They are confused with the Durango. The hp output for the Charger is 340hp for the normal R/T and 350hp for the Daytona and Road and Track models. To me there is nothing more amusing than these supposive professional sources who can't keep the simplest facts straight especially when they have an inconsistency issue.

We now know the price of the 2008 Challenger, but what we don't know is how it is optioned. If it has the 3 option groups of the Charger SRT, the $37,995 MSRP price (exclusive of the gas guzzler price) could have been pumped up by $3,690.

This leads me to ask two questions:

1. Will the base 2009 SRT have the same pricing as the limited edition 2008 (with dash plates)?

2. If the 2008 model is loaded with all 3 option groups (i.e., GPS, alarm, kicker stereo, etc.), can a 2009 model be special ordered for $34,305 without the $3,690 in options? That would give us a price of $36,405 ($34,305 + $2,100 gas guzzler tax) plus license, tags, and sales tax.
