Ok I took the dive in again for a Challenger R/T B5 blue. They told me 10 weeks and it will be listed as a 2010. Yee Haw!

JJMPB 06-29-2009 08:23 AM

intresting there gonna sell you a 2009 as a 2010

shawnt2 06-30-2009 04:30 AM

they can call it a 2010 or 2009 as long as it has my name on the sticker when it arrives :)

JJMPB 06-30-2009 09:31 AM

aren't there still people waiting for there 2009 challengers that ordered it months ago

Ridge Runner 06-30-2009 10:40 AM

Cool,so you are tellin me I can order a 2010 right now and they said 10 weeks to delivery? Are there any changes on the 2010 order form? A dealer told me a couple weeks ago that they received nothing regarding 2010 Challengers, ordering or otherwise.

MoparJoe 06-30-2009 12:44 PM

Still Waiting on my 2009 R/T Classic

I am still waiting over 20 weeks for my 6 speed classic. Still being told that it is not being released yet. Maybe this will be a 2010 now ?
If anyone out there has taken delivery on an old order let's hear about it. Peace. Any news is good news.

Ridge Runner 06-30-2009 03:00 PM

Yeah,I don,t get it.How can someone order one now and get it that quick when you have been waiting for one for almost half a year? It may be dealer order hype just to get your deposit.I would think your car would have to be a 09 cause it would have been issued a VIN some time ago.

billbyford 07-01-2009 08:30 AM

You were able to get B5 Blue in an '10 model?

billbyford 07-01-2009 08:48 AM

A dealer told me the other day that '10 were starting but has yet to get me any figures. I also heard '10 production was supposed to start in August.....

Peevan 07-01-2009 09:01 PM

Yes...I thought I read this morning somewhere that 2010 starts production 17 August....

shawnt2 07-02-2009 04:39 AM

I will surely keep you guys updated. I trust dealers as much as a snake hiding in the wood pile. They will tell you anything to close a deal.

Ridge Runner 07-02-2009 11:31 AM

I think you are dead on Shawn2.Just go back over all the posts on here last year with guys puttin down money on orders and STILL never received their cars. All they got for their money were excuses.

Charger69 07-17-2009 08:08 PM

I just talked to my salesman friday and he told me that i should get mine in late October or mid November.

I've been waiting for my car a long time but some people have waited longer than me. I ordered mine mid April as an '09 but will get a '10 and since i ordered it in Hemi orange, i had to change color.

We all know now that new colors are in the order forms but i kinda understand that they will build those in the new yellow color, then Plum Crazy Purple (mine) and then the 3rd color.

I don't know if those colors will last long. The rumors seems to point that they will build only a certain number of each colors. That would be a bad move since they took Hemi orange out.

I guess time will tell but i can't wait to have more information about those 2010 Challengers.

JJMPB 07-18-2009 03:54 AM

the time october comes the Challenger line wil be canceled

Charger69 07-18-2009 06:40 AM

You mean they gonna stop production of the Challenger again? What will be the reason this time?

I hope this is not true.

JJMPB 07-19-2009 05:54 AM

just a theory that they are gonna cancel the car nothing more

Thor77 07-21-2009 06:09 AM

On what do you base this theory? I agree that the days of the Challenger are numbered, but I would be surprised to see it gone that fast. 08 was only half a year, and only SRT. 09 they were still backed up with orders when production was interuppted due to bankruptcy. I would be amazed if they didn't try selling the thing for at least a full year of the whole model line.

Future after the '10's is quite uncertain. If the '10's are selling well, maybe we see 2011, but I doubt anything after that. Pretty sure we won't see a second generation or anything. Especially with Fiat's apparant anti-V8 mentality and looming higher CAFE requirements.

Schwantz 07-21-2009 10:16 AM

It would be a shame if they stopped making Challengers, but I fear we need to accept that in a couple of years that will likely be the case.

All I can say is.....buy them while you can........before they become history....

JJMPB 07-22-2009 07:14 AM

2010 will most likely be the last year wether it makes it a full model year or not is just a educated guess

shawnt2 07-30-2009 06:46 AM

I just ordered a 2010 Black R/T last week. Dealer told me I would have it by November. I asked if he was concerned that it might take longer and he said ther won't be a problem. Also in his data base he has already the new pricing for 2010. A small increase over the 09's a few hundered bucks on the NAV,electronic interior upgrade and mopar interior appearance group.

deltaboxxx 07-31-2009 05:41 PM

i just ordered mine this week, had/have a lemon 09. i got a hot ticket so ill be pushed to the top of the ordered line. they say i should receive my 2010 by sept hopefully.

ill find out next week the progress. my current r/t has 7,000 miles on it.

28carolina 08-01-2009 10:55 AM

What went wrong for you to lemon law it?

deltaboxxx 08-02-2009 04:48 PM

i had the keyfob/stalling issue they couldnt fix

shawnt2 08-12-2009 07:04 AM

can anyone speak tell me a dealership name that has pricing so I can use that with my dealer?

darrello 08-12-2009 07:28 AM

DeltaBoxxx, what key fob/stalling issue? I'm new to this forum and havn't heard about this issue before. Please enlighten me and others. Is this something I have to look forward too? Car, 09 R/T has been great so far,(tick under 4000 miles). I only had three things that I would change on it. 1st would be to make the drivers seat open/slide forward. 2nd hood struts(I have put them on). 3rd Chryslers bean counters(opps could B changing as we speak). I don't know bout others, but I went through alot to get the car. Dummies would put out an offer then shut down production. No wonder they went BK. I have heard that Fiat is thinking about discontinuing the Challenger, but only rumors. Making a profit on it and can't make enough of em, why would u stop. But u never know.

MaybeChallenger 08-14-2009 09:01 PM

Most of the dealers in my area of So.Cal. are out of stock of Challengers or only have an SRT. Anyone have an idea of when production will ramp up and we'll start seeing more product ? I did see about a dozen Camaros listed in Camino Real Chevrolet website. Hmmm.

deltaboxxx 08-15-2009 01:27 AM

if u have 4000 miles on ur car with no starting issues u have nothing to worry about,at least i wouldnt think so..ive had issues within the first 500 miles.

basically any time the temerature of the interior is hot the car dosent recognize the keyfob and u cant push the button to start, sometimes it will start, then when u put it in reverse or anything it will stall out.

theres threads on other challenger forums about this issue, most people werent lucky enough as me to just get a new car replacment.

darrello 08-17-2009 08:26 AM

dbxxx, could u still start it with the key? Popping the button off and using the key inside the fob. Wonder why the temp would affect it? Sounds goofy to me. Good luck on the new one. :)

darrello 08-17-2009 08:37 AM

Maybe, Champion Dodge on Firestone had a few R/T's last time I looked. Better b on your toes if u buy from them. Typical sterotype of a used car salesman. If u know what I mean.

deltaboxxx 08-17-2009 09:20 PM

yah i could, but that defeats the whole purpose of having push button.

i agree about the temp but it NEVER has probs if the cabin temp is cool or not scorching.

also, the stalling makes it a safety issue.

barry1309 08-17-2009 11:10 PM

Yes, I have had this problem with heat causing the push-button not working. I pop off the button and use the key. I recall a few months ago that this was being investigated by Dodge. I have over 8K miles and got my '09 RT in Dec. '08.

darrello 08-18-2009 07:33 AM

Wonder what the problem is? Maybe they got a bad batch of switches/buttons. It's not like it's that complex. Your right DB the whole point in having it is to use it. Knock on wood for your new one. :)

darrello 08-18-2009 07:36 AM

Hey Barry & DB could u still remote start the car to let it cool down 1st? Just a thought. AC is supposed to crank up in remote start I think.

barry1309 08-18-2009 05:07 PM

Remote start will not work either in temp. too hot or cold.

deltaboxxx 08-19-2009 07:36 AM

my remote works like a champ..i use it every day almost every time i get in my car.

concidering selling my 2010 for what i owe on my loan just to get out of the car. prob bring it home on a trailer and sell it with the miles from the factory. more of a money matter than a car matter

darrello 08-19-2009 07:40 AM

Man, too hot or too cold, glad I don't live in Az or Mich. Looks like the design teams, R&D would have run into this problem in the field testing.

shawnt2 08-27-2009 05:20 AM

I finally got my VIN number yesterday. YEE HAW! Oh wait they still didnt give me a delivery date yet. Is that a light I see at the end of the tunnel?
