they did it with a ram to compete with the lightning and now that the s331 took over. would challenger try to compete with the corvette hp wise???? doesn't make much sense... freakin sweet though!!! so was the 6.4L just a "trick up my sleeve" type deal to scare other manufacturers or are they really going to use it???

I think that this concept has a chance of becoming a limited production model in 2011 when the Viper is no longer made. During Wednesday's SRT Engineers Chat Session, the engineers were very coy about this. While they cannot comment on future models, they used the example of the SRT 10 to respond to a question about how Dodge will compete with the power of the new SS Camaro. They also asked how much would we be willing to pay for it.

In regard the the SRT 10's styling, I would like to see a painted hood to match the color of the car and a more 70's-style shaker hood. Also, chrome hood pins. Otherwise, this is an awesome concept.

 

You are correct Cuda340... they seemed to mention the SRT10 Challenger quite often throughout the session... and in a light that suggested that there may be a chance that production plans may be in the furture. Time will tell... had me grinning though...

My guess would be the Heavy Duty build of the Viper 6 speed... standard Viper stuff...

 

Well, my SE had a base price of $21,995. With the stuff I got added plus TT&L, it was right around $25,000. For a similarly equipped SRT-10, I'd be willing to go all the way to, say, $26,000!
