Default Hot Rod Magazine

The latest issue of Hot Rod Magazine has an article of the '08 Dodge Challenger SS Racing car.

It even talks about Metalcrafters involvment in building the concept car.

The front cover of what to look for is down below when looking for the magazine.

Just checked out the article... some good pics & background on the car; nice pic of it doing a full blown burn out. They got to drive it... a little anyway, until they broke it. Not much on the actual drive experience in the article.

Well I thought I would post the April 2008 Issue which I believe is the first of the big magazines that has a detailed article on production Challenger.

You will have to hit the resize button at the bottom of the picture to be able to read the text.

I grabbed a copy of this the other day at work. Hot Rod always sends us some copies ahead of time. It's a good article but nothing really different than what we have been seeing. I'm ready for an ACTUAL road test with some hard numbers. One of my guys seen the 6 cyl Challenger at CTC. Said it reminded him of the plain jane Mustang, single exhaust and wheel covers. Didn't get a really close up look but said it was pretty cool to see it running around.

It also says the dash has since changed since those pics, and that mag is going to be rare glimpse at what could have been.

One interesting statement in the article was that the production car will have titanium metallic trim on the dash instead of carbon fiber.
