Default How to add functional air intakes.

Has anyone added to their Dodge Challenger the Functional Hood Scoop Bezels, and if so do you have the step by step instructions and pictures on how to do it?

Im thinking about just taking mine completely out. My brother has had open scoops on his ford lightning for 6 years and he likes it. Saves money and its functional.

Default These are easy to install

I did mine several months ago. There are two tabs on the bottom about a half inch in from each side. Protect your hood with a cloth and pry up gently at each tab and they pop right out. The new intakes are hard plastic at the front but soft rubber at the back and slide right in from the outside. You then just reach a finger in from the inside of the hood and pull them through until the rubber locks into place.

^hahaha it wasn't as bad as I thought eh Mark? I did mine after reading abunch of guys trying to do it, after 2-3 beers I decided to march into the garage and git-er done

if you can slide a small thin wedge or if you are skilled, wrap a flathead screw drive and GENTLY (key word) gently lift in the center of the scoop, it should just pop out, the new ones, just feed the rubber through and pull through the underside of the hood, push the scoop into place til you here the clip, then just pull the rubber through until you see the little tabs.

Step back and admire your accomplishment.

Ok Maybe I'm getting the whole air induction thing all wrong but these air ducts only seem to move air into the engine compartment. Isn't it supposed to force air into the intake?
I'm sure the fresh air in the engine compartment is a plus but I worry about moisture when getting caught in a rains storm. Am I on the right track here?
