Challenger sales
I don't know how official this is, but it's from challengerblog.com:
dodge challenger outsells ford mustang in february and ytd sales
I wrote about this over on MustangBlog.com already and I might have been a little hard on my loyal Dodge Challenger readers but I don't want to many of you thinking this will be a regular occurrence. Yes the Dodge Challenger outsold the Ford Mustang for February and Year To Date sales but there were several factors contributing to this glorious news headline for the Challenger. Those factors include the end of a model run and the beginning of another for the Mustang, lowest Mustang sales in history and this is the first year the Challenger has three different models to sell. All I am saying is lets not fill up the Champagne glasses just yet. Yes the Challenger is a great all-around car but will it outsell the Mustang or Camaro, probably not. I don't expect this to last much longer, maybe next month as well but after the refreshed Mustang hits dealers sales will pick up.
The sales numbers are, Dodge Challenger sold 3,283 units in February, the Ford Mustang sold 2,990, a difference of 293 cars. YTD sales for the Dodge Challenger are 6,040 to the Mustangs 5,934.

This is the first time in years that the Mustang has been beaten by a car in its segment. You're correct that it will not last. I just hope the `Challenger is profitable enough to continue.
