We will be ordering ours in Aug. a 08 or 09 depends whats avalable at time. Waiting to see if they come out with purple and other options. I ordered my 04 Cosmos Purple 6 speed GTO before production started and took it in shorts. As for the small changes they made it is still the most retro looking muscle car on market in my oppinion. Man going to be another on few mounths [&o]

I plan to wait for the `09s with the manual tranny and the 5.7 liter motor. $45K (which is realistically what it's going to cost) is a little too rich for my blood.

I'm looking at being in one (hopefully) by Spring `09. In that pricing info. it didn't appear they made any mention of the `08s being auto trannys only...did I miss something?

Same here. I actually posted on RDL inquiring what exactly the specs were and when official word would come as for flavors, etc!

But, I'm an 09 guy January or July.

I've contacted every Dodge dealership in my area and none of them have received anything official on the Challenger yet.

Great news. But its an 09 for me also. 6-speed manual all the way. Looks like I will have only 1 automatic out of the 5 I own.

Now, didn't I say all along that the Challenger with a 6.1L at the offical price tag would be reasonable? It wouldn't be $70K or any of those inflated numbers that you were all panicking about. I told you it would be reasonable. $38K is an excellent price for this machine. I'll wait under the demand begins to slow down so then I don't have to worry about price hikes on the initial ones sold. This way I'll have the time to save the money and purchase it after the first year bugs are resolved, my insurance rate will decline, and I won't have all of my financial resources tied up into a car.
