I've owned 2 vettes in my life, a '65 coupe and a '68 coupe. The '68 was a big block. The '65 was stiff, too much oversteer and beat the bejeebies out of you on long cruises. The '68 was fun just from a pure seat of the pants acceleration standpoint, but I was not impressed with the overall performance as a road car. I have not had the pleasure of owning/driving anything newer, but the Z06 seems to have all the performance goodies built in....
