Stupid error on the HistoryChannel
So, there is a show on right now called Modern Marvels: Private Collections.
They are interviewing Bill Goldberg (NFL, WWF) and they were talking about his 1970 Hemi Challenger. They showed the car and the engine, which Bill said was a 1968 Hemi. Then, the voice over announcer said "Named for the cylinder head setup, the 5.7L Hemi pushes out a whopping 345 horsepower"..
what the hell??
On a side note, they also showed his Ferrari 360, his yenko Camaro, his british racing green GT500, and his 1 of 1 Shelby Lawman Mustang, which is the most rare, and most powerful Mustang ever built by Ford.

I did a program about Thunderbird for History Channel. Please keep in mind that these guys are show producers and media crews, not car guys and not make and model info savvy. The shows are a blend of info and entertainment aimed for hobbyists and others not so heavily steeped in knowledge base. Overall, I thought they did a swell job on the Thunderbird program and I'll watch again for this Mopar segment.

but you would think that they would have a consultant...or screeners.
Ive been working with a die cast company to help verify the correctness of some new cars, from hood, roof and wheel options to engine and color combinations...

Mirada, you are correct, they do have consultants..."the experts" that they interview, and they likely do background reading...they just don't get the details. You know what else? They did not include us in the editing to look for those kind of corrections in the voice over narative...heck, in fact, I had to buy my copy of the History Channel program...they didn't even give me one for being in it.
