CAI questions
I have a few questions about buying & installing a CAI for my R/T. Right now my MDS seems to be working great. Is there any chance that by installing a CAI that it may hamper the MDS? What seems to be the best CAI...the Mopar seems like a nice one but K&N looks good too. Also, how hard are they to install? Thanks

RE: CAI questions
I went with MOPAR CAI and it was easy to install 30- 45 minutes tops comes with easy to read instructions and picture, besides i like the way mopar looks under the hood as far as the MDS no noticeable difference. While i was at it i installed the tower strut and hood struts looks good. Will be ordering kooks header and x-pipe in next few weeks

RE: CAI questions
This is one mod I will be doing and like most things I do I research it to death. I too like the Mopar but there was another that had dyno proven 15 HP increase. It seemed to have a bigger filter and bigger diameter.. But was made of plastic. I seem to lean towards the polished aluminium... it looks really nice under the hood.

RE: CAI questions
Go with the Mopar one. Looks killer!
But if you have a 5.7 R/T don't order one from Dodge. They are still confused which one to use.
They'll try and sell you the one for the 6.1
Just buy a 5.7 one for a Charger off ebay instead, but you need to pick up a small 40 cent hose clamp to finish the job totally.
