I should probably read the owners manual, but that would be like asking for directions. With the hood up i tried stating the car remotely and it would'nt, lowered hood started the car and when hood was raised the engine died. Has anybody else have this happen to them, if so let me know, may be a safety or anti-theft feature

Truer words were never spoken! Real Men are far too busy to do such mundane things as read owners manuals.

Most remote starts have a disconnect under the hood to disable the engine. Should be the same thing if you step on the brake w/o the key in the ignition.

I had similar issues... RTFM I went to start it tonight but no go, It chirped at me but didn't start. I had to talk with the dealer so I went there, It started the didn't. So I got back home read the manual and it only starts twice without entering the vehicle and driving or stoping. I think I have been starting it without knowing, or the phab deactivtes after pressing the start multiple times

Also, the doors must be shut. No hazards, no break and I think there was something about the hood.
