Diablo Predator Tune
By Tuesday afternoon I will have my Diablo Predator tuner, computer interface kit for upgrades and a 180 degree thermostat. Who has done this already? Did you have it dyno-ed?
I'm debating the dyno thing, maybe later.

RE: Diablo Predator Tune
I am running the 93 CAI tune with raised shift points, raised rev limiter, raised speed limiter, cooler fan settings and a huge gain in power in the seat-of-my pants dyno. I am now ordering 275 or 295(if they fit) tires to keep the tires stuck to the pavement. My Goodyear F1s are now bald and dangerous. I may even check on some drag radials to radically increase straight-line performance. Enjoy.

Choodock,
Did you change out your thermostat to 180 degree? When you do the 93cai tune, do you have to change each point or is all of the points done by the predator predetermined settings?

I did not change the t-stat. I am in Texas and the car ran much cooler after turning the fans on sooner. The raised shift points, rev limiter, speed limiter, and fan settings are outside of the 'canned tune'. I have not played around with it much, but am willing to answer any specific question you may have when I am back home from a business trip this weekend.

Choodock,
What CAI do you have? Did you unplug I believe fuse 11 which has to do with your shifting memory. Just some bits and pieces I've heard. I'll let you know what I find out as well.

I have the Mopar CAI. I did not pull the fuse, I did read about that on Charger forums, because the Predator has an option to reset the transmission memory. The tuner is amazing.

RE: Diablo Predator Tune
I installed the 93oct CAI tune today at lunch. I haven't driven her yet, but she will be tested at 5:00 sharp for sure. I suppose shift firmness is in this tune or do I have to reprogram the shift firmness?

RE: Diablo Predator Tune
Sounds like you did a custom tune. Did you buy the pc interface kit? If so if you plug the predator into the pc will it show the setting for each point? ie shift firmness, rev limiter, advance spark etc.

I customized the 93CAI tune. I believe after selecting the tune, it gives you a chance to alter the settings before uploading. I will upload my original tune tonight to bring the car to the dealership for service and then I will play around with it and give you better answers.
