I don't think I'd touch engine, assuming functional air scoops make it ot production. The exhaust manifolds are essentially factory headers, much like the original 426 had, see little gain in aftermarket headers for the work.

I would probably "tweak" the mufflers (more aggressive) and most likely swap rear end gears. 4:10 w/ a 6 spd should be just SWEET.

FIRST: If the factory doesn't put in synthetic oil, I will change to that after about 100 miles. Then if the exhaust manifolds make it as on the concept, then fine. But I bet there will be gains to be made by aftermarket headers. Hooker, get ready.

If needed in this order:

1. Muffler

2. Headers

3. Cold Air kit

4. Reprogram the computer

5. After 20K miles then maybe a supercharger (Rotrex is a new technology I would look at)

Honestly, I bet most of this stuff is high enough performance it will not need changing but they may cut costs.

Like they did with the Charger........made it a 4 door. Gosh, can you imagine a 4 door Challenger. If that gets announced

I will leave the forum for good. What a horrible thought? I must be deranged. LOL!!!

The very 1st thing I will do to my Challenger for performance is to add a mufflers ala Flowmasters Series 40's unless it is determined the the air input is limited by too small of a filter (in the pictures
the surface area appears to be adequate but not sure).

Other things to consider would be a throttle body change. Gosh I would hope the headers and exhaust pipes are adequate.

An underdrive pulley system and maybe reprogramming the computer.

Only after the engine is free breathing and all restrictions have been removed then I would consider a supercharger.

I would make sure that every modification I made would still be somewhat reversible to factory stock condition(like keeping the original mufflers etc.).

These are just some things I would consider.

i have never messed around much with superchagers but if you added a super charger to the car would you be tuning it up all the time?
