I'm not home but I was just informed there came a recall notice for the '08.Has anyone gotten it yet?and if so have you had the issue taken care of , how big a deal is it?Something to do with the wireless ignition node.

My dealer was proactive and called me two weeks ago to come in.........quick fix....no problem. You do need to get it done when you get a chance.

Received my recall today also. I can see where this could be a problem. People are used to removal of a key. I have to remember I sit my keyfob in the console and I have to push the off button, and not to forget to pick up my key fob.

For those who may not have recieved the recall....this is it:

Check with your dealer to see if it applies to your vehicle.

Problem: The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters can be removed from vehicle when the transmission gear selector has not been placed in the "pack" position. If driver turns the engine off but does not place the gear selector in the "Pack" position, the vehicle could move inadvertently and cause a crash without warning

Dealer Repair: Dealer will reprogram the Wireless Ignition Node and resynchronize your RKE transmitters. After this repair, the engine will only turn off when the transmissiuon gear selector has been placed in the "Park" position. (The repair work will take about 1/2 hour to complete)

Got mine today as well. Just what I wanted to see the day after I received my welcome packet. Oh well, I'll just get it fixed and use the free oil change coupon they sent.
