Hello all, I was wondering if there is anybody left besides me whose car went to D1 status the first time in APRIL and whose car is still not in production (or delivered for that matter!!!) sorry to rant, but the latest estimated ship date has moved back another 10 days... I am seriously contemplating giving up all together, but what would that prove? My dealer would have no problem selling the car to somebody else... WHY IS IT SO HARD TO BUY A CAR????

 

Don't feel too bad, I have NEVER been to D1, only D. With such a high vin and late order date, I don't expect my car until late June or July. By the way, I never considered getting an 09 over an 08.

 

I moved to D1 status today for the first time, been in D since 3/27. Estimated delivery 6/13.

 

so here I am, having been at D1 5 times now, with the same ship date as someone who has not been at D1 before today... can you understand my frustration???

 

Hang in the partner... it will be well worth the wait.

 

When did you first go to D status? I haven't had the back and forth but I have been in D status for almost 9 weeks. It's not like I just went to D status and now I'm D1.

 

Keep in mind that 1000 have left the factory so far and the last 2008 will be at the dealership in late July.

 

well you just had to have the luggage rack, bumper guards and vinyl roof...stuff like that is hard to come by anymore....hang in there....im waiting too

 

It only makes it worse if you think about it and agonize.
I'd take my mind off that and think about other stuff.
It'll only be a few more weeks.

I have yet to see D1. I do not believe a Silver Challenger has been delivered to date.

Look at it this way.....
By the time we get our silver cars all the bugs will be worked out.
We have the rarest of 08's with so few being Silver.
Mine is still D with a mid June build date (i dont trust it, but....)

Lastly, Thats 2-3 less speeding tickets you will see this year :-Þ
