I've decided to order a 2009 Challenger. Anyone have any idea how long it will take for it to come in if I order in Jan? Any other words of wisdom?

I'd figure at least 2-3 months after ordering for the car to come in. When I looked in to ordering one this month, I was told that since they already built their December allocation it wouldn't get built until January, which would mean a late Feb-early March time frame for arrival.

Which is why I said to hell with ordering, I didn't want to wait till March for the car. I'm picking my new one up this Thursday!

What model? An SRT, R/T or SE? SRTs are limited and you may have a longer wait, especially for a 6-speed.

If you are buying in January, I would recommend that you find one off a dealer's lot. Sales will be light after Christmas, in the dead of winter, and you may get a great deal. Many dealers already have over-crowded lots. In Cherry Hill, NJ (9 miles east of Phila.), for example,a dealer has 27 Challengers on his lot! Also, check cars.com.
