The $99,999 figure is you kidding around right? Do you remember who you spoke with?
ORIGINAL: okyankee

got ahold of these guys. due to only 6500 being built this year and that 12,000 orders were put in, they have a market adjustment to $99,999.00. but i can make a reasonable offer anf the guy will talk to his boss and see if my offer is good enough. crooks.

ORIGINAL: DiamDaveNot to be to mean, but do you still believe in Santa Claus? MSRP or below! Guess it doesn't hurt to ask, but you must see all the people on here waiting for 09s. They are paying $3,000 more than the 08s at MSRP. If you find one, please post the dealer so they can get more business.Good Luck,Dave
Dave, Dave, Dave. Haven't you read the forum posts? There are expert negotiators by the boatload here telling everyone how they got their '08 for MSRP or below. I wish I had their skills.

I called/Emailed about 50 places and got 3 good responses. Badge numbers lower than 2000. 2 @ MSRP 1 at 2k over. I am going with lowest badge #.I should be back tonight with pics.I will be posting dealers names at that time. I may have to go 600 miles but oh well.

below is the guys email response to me not wanting to drive up there if there was a markup.

Kenny,

I received your inquiry about our Challenger and yes there is a market adjustment on this vehicle. I will be more than happy to help you with the purchase of this vehicle if you would be willing to come in and speak with me. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

First off topic I am an OK Yankee my self, NYC is what I call home but I do really enjoy life in Oklahoma.

So the $99,999 figure was never mentioned by the dealer? I was going to fire off an email to Seth who has been emailing me as well. Based on what you just posted it sounds like a typical dealer tactic, they need to get you in the door face to face because it is advantage dealer. I know you wanted a straight answer before taking a drive that could be 90 minutes or more. My guess is they want some kind of market adjustment, if they where going to go under MSRP the smart move would be to say so but most dealers don’t think that way.
