I will suggest that the market will rebound tomorrow (Tuesday Sept. 30) by about 75% of the loss today (maybe 582 points). All it will take is the spineless Republicans who got us into this mees to vote yes on the market making plan. The $600B is not a tax hit. It is an investment in distreseed equities. The gov't could actually make money by gettting these mortage backed securities (yes, actually backed by physical properties) at pennies on the dollar. I do not think our gov't could actually make a profit (c'mon it is the gov't), but it is not just pouring tax money down the drain. Mark my words, right now, the Congress will pass a measure and the stock market will rise tomorrow.
Isn't it nice to have video records of Congress.

Funny how so many Democrates voted against the bill.....The bill could have passed without any Republican votes.....It's just a case of the Democrates trying to push a bad bill through and not wanting to take full responsibility for whats's in it. Yes "a bill" will/has to pass to clearup a mess started during Carter's time in office. But I just hope the [spineless] Republicans will stand up and not let a bad bill go through.

It's been about one week after this thread started and anyone who jumped that day has another 600 points to recover. Now the panic takes over :-(
Buy 10 pounds of dog poop at the 1 pound price, and its still dog poop.....

The only thing thats dropping faster then new car values is the markets.
