Pearson Dodge (Richmond VA) has a Blue R/T Classic on their lot, if you're still interested.

Sorry to hear that rickerda,I don,t know what there problem is.You ordered right when they started to exclusively build the Classics ,so it should have been built and delivered it a short amount of time.It looks like we might have to settle for the Camaro. The C amaro sounds like it will be a great car,but the Challenger just looks so much badder.

I hate that you have'nt recieved your car yet and its full swing into car season. I know where your coming from and wish you all the best in finding a car that you want... whether a Dodge, Chevy or Ford. Its the pony wars 2 and you guys should be in the thick of things. Good luck.

Totally understandable. But no way it should take two months or more to get your deposit back. If you paid by credit card, do a charge-back. These dealers are scumbags.

I too was excited about another pony war.But with the condition of Chrysler and G.M.,the war may never come to be.The Camaro might not even be allowed to be kept in production, and the Challenger may meet the same fate from the federal scumbags.Remember,to get the cash, they got to show they are investing in small fuel sippers, not tire shredders.I am worried that they will stop muscle production and focus on Fiats.

Ordered my B5-Blue Classic 6-spd on March 2...delivery for May...No one will guarantee if the order will be ever be built, so I went with the sure thing.
I cancelled my R/T Classic order too - took a loaded R/T 6-spd in black that was on the dealers lot. The dealer really worked with me for a very good deal on the car.
I hated buying under these conditions - but no disappointments with this car.
She is now my " Black Pearl".
Right now...Very glad to have the chance to get an R/T 6-spd Challenger.
The future for the Charger, 300, & Challenger is not looking very good.

I'm just wondering what kind of deals the dealerships are willing to work, since "the announcement".
Lately, I've found several that are advertising Challengers at invoice, or within a hundred or so.

Unhappy

That really stumps me blk pearl, cause if your car was ordered way back in March for May delivery,it should already been down the line.Or at least be goin thru it.Not even a build in progress at that late in the order phase completely dumbfounds me.

Ridge Runner - The order status had been changed (I do not remember the letter code the order was under B?) The dealer had a scheduled delivery for the month of May for (1) Challenger. Mine was the only one ordered & due "in". Dealer stated that "the region" was only allocated for 8 units (challengers) in May & they were to receive one of the eight. The "Classics" ordered Jan./Feb. were just being delivered mid April so why the surprise that a March order would show in May. (Even if built/shipped the courts have frozen all assets (property) of Chrysler - the cars are not ours until delivered...just not happening any time soon & no one will guarantee it ever will.)
The dealer was fair with R/T 6-spd on the lot...so I went with the sure thing...& very happy I had the chance to do it. The car is more than I ever expected.
