Challenger Battery Location

RE: Challenger Battery Location
I'm not real thrilled with the concept of no spare tire -- not even a donut. Has anyone ever had to use one of the "patch kits"? Do they work? Well, since I'm going to get Ralleye wheels and white-letter tires, maybe I'll just throw one of the original tires/wheels in the trunk ...

The Dodge site shows the Charger with 16 cu ft of trunk space. I expect similar numbers from the Challenger.
If this doesn't sound like much, folks, go to a Dodge dealer - or see a friend who has one - and check out how big the trunk is.
I could probably stack 3 (medium sized) ex-wives in there, with room left over for a celebratory six-pack or two.

I use tire repair kits all of the time. They do work well, but are a handful for someone who is smaller in stature or not physically fit.
While plugging a tire is not that hard, I'm just wondering if they've eliminated the jack as well as the spare tire. It's MUCH harder to plug a tire when it's on the car than when it's off.

Get AAA, then you won't have to worry about it. I wonder if the tires are run flat?

AAA is nice to have for emergencies, but I don't count on them getting to me in a hurry.
My step-son waited for a AAA tow truck last Valentines day for over six hours before the local PD had to "expedite" the process with a phone call on his behalf. Granted, we were in the middle of a snow storm, but still, SIX HOURS ?!?!?
I don't believe the Challenger offers "run flat" technology - yet.

Sounds like it might be just as easy to put an extra tire/wheel in the trunk. Fortunately, I already have a pneumatic jack from Wal-Mart....

Only 3 medium sized ex-wives? Then my one ex-wife likely wouldn't fit.
