That is not correct. While it is true that is has a solid rear axle suspension; actually, the current Mustang chassis is a "watered-down" version of the Jaguar "S" type and recent Thunderbird. The 20 year old - pre-2005 - Mustang chassis has nothing in common with the new one.
Nonetheless, the new Challenger is a far more superior automobile in many ways that go beyond the independant rear suspension. It is amazing that these two cars are selling in a similar price range - the Dodge is a true bargain for what we are getting.

More over C5 vette's can be had for just over 25k with less than 30,000 miles on them. And the dream machine can out-run both of them. Think about that Jack. The Bullit is a big waste of money on the other hand.
