RE: ConsumerReport - Challenger
Consumer Reports is great at rating appliances. If you view your car as an appliance like a washing machine or a toaster, follow their advice. If there is even a modicum of automotive passion within your being, their ratings have little relevance.
I think that consumer reports is pretty honest, and they sincerely do the best they can, but when loud exhaust is deemed a demerit for a muscle car, you know they are coming from a whole different set of priorities. But hey, they give a rating for acceleration, so I guess they can't be all bad.

The only thing i use consumer reports for is how reliable a car is. I want to know that i am not buying something that is going to break down... and of course that is not known until the 2nd or 3rd year the car has been out... but consumer reports has always given the dodge chargers and the 300M's good reviews as far as quality and durabilty goes.
