RE: did anyone see/post this?
well, i think that the break in is 1000 miles. the problem is that working from home doesnt put many miles on our cars. ive put less than a thousand miles on the RT in the two years since i moved...so we will need to work on breaking the new engine in...but once we get to 870 or so, we will take the long route to norwalk...

Less than a thousand miles on the R/T in two years? Good grief, I drive way more than that in one month, let alone two years.

RE: did anyone see/post this?
The Mustang GT is a great price right now, I see sale adds for new GT's @ $25,000 and that is a good price but is has come down a good bit since release.
The article says that DCX will put a V-8 in the Challenger. Great, but which one??? The article says $32,000 so I can only see the 5.7 being put in the Challenger for that price range and then what, it is an automatic?
My price module has the 6.1 in the low 40's because that would keep in on par with other dodge vehicles with that engine and we all know the challenger msrp will be higher than the Charger.
I do want a first release Challenger in year 1 but I will not pay way over msrp either. I can see the car selling with popularity similar to the Mustang GT500, which is selling way above msrp right now.

I agree with everything except I do want the first year bugs because I plan to keep this car a long time.

We are just going to have to wait and see bored out. That is why I quit speculating.

RE: did anyone see/post this?
True, but we have to admit, THE WAITING SUCKS!
I'm really glad to be here. Talking with you all, helps me stay excited about the car and the prospects of owning one. The best thing for me involving the wait is that I can continue to save for the car.
Sometimes when I'm driving home from work. I imagine that I'm not driving my Nissan 200sx (or sentra two door) but that I'm driving a 2008 Dodge Challenger with a 6.1 and a pistol grip in my right hand. The car smells new and I turn up the radio to my favorite CD. Everyone is looking at me and I can hear the exaust roar. Then I come to a red light. Boom its green and I mash the gas only to hear a loud whine as my nissan complains to me about the abuse and I remember that this car is good on gas.
Surprise me dodge and get this car done for Fall 07'.

I wrote a post call financial planning and saving for a Challenger which you might find helpful as you save your money.

bored out, believe me I know your pain, waiting is very annoying. Waiting for college to get done is like watching grass grow. Then they stick you with these extra last minuet requirements ("oh, didn't you know? You have to take this. How could you be so stupid not to know about this...") Okay I'm done.[sm=rant.gif]
