Early 2009 Buyers- How Do You Feel?

RE: Early 2009 Buyers- How Do You Feel?
When I bought mine back on Black Friday, the dealer had 30 challengers on the lot....only 2 black 6spd R/Ts..one with leather/sunroof and one with the basic interior. I paid $400 over invoice. Now the dealer has only one R/T but none with color and option that I want. I bought the car I've always wanted, enjoy every moment I drive it and haven't looked back!

I am still happier with this car than any I have purchased in years. I got a good deal originally and I don't look back and play what if and try to figure what I would have paid if I had waited. In my city there are still no Challenger's in any selection on any Dodge dealer lot. The dealer I go to for service has a 6 speed SRT8 in Hemi Orange with a $45,000.00 sticker. That's the only Challenger they have.

Ordered in June took delivery in Septrmber happy I did when I did If I would have waited think of all the smiles that others would have missed that have seen my Challenger plus the drive time is worth every minute and the smile on my own face

I bought mine just over two weeks ago. I paid just over 34K out the door, have a reasonable monthly payment and I couldn't be happier. I've been waiting for the buyer's remorse to set in but so far, none at all. I love this car and everyone else who has seen it says it's just plain badass. I'm very happy with my purchase and like others, don't play the "what if" game.

Moparguy, don't count on it. Chrysler may be offering all those incentives, but not all dealers have to play the game. I was working with one that was going to do $2,000 below MSRP, before the pricing came along, then when that did come along I asked for the employee pricing. They turned around and said that they were not going to do the employee pricing because they weren't getting a lot of Challengers and that they were no longer going to do $2,000 under MSRP. At most they would do $600.
And I'm surprised, no one said anything about the Chally remark? That's shocking.

Hey Axel, I had just the opposite experience. I bought an SRT yesterday, 6 speed with all options, for $40,467 plus tax. Sticker was $45,525, and then I got 0% financing on top of that. The sales guy came to my house last night because the paperwork had to be done yesterday. I'm sure all dealers are different and my experience may be at one extreme and yours at the other but I'd guess you could get as many Challengers as you want. There's plenty around, 1600 last I looked. I'd love for the value to stay up though, I just don't know how much longer they can make it stick. If your dealer wouldn't play the employee pricing game, I guarantee you could pick up the phone and find one who will.

Wow. What are they going for? I just got lucky with the employee pricing thing, but I think most of the dealers here were honoring it.
How bout if I find one in Broward?

Wanted to order an SRT8 in May. Couldn't get a dealer to give a reasonable offer until end of June. Had to wait 4 months for delivery. The car is awesome. The looks and compliments the car gets are awesome. And all this overcame the stress and anxiety of the long wait for my baby to be delivered !
