Default EXTENDED WARRANTY

I got a post card from Dodge that says 50% off on the service plans. My car is the SRT so it does not have the lifetime power train warranty. The center told me bumper to bumper for lifetime with a $100 deductible is $2280. What do ya'll think and is this about what you found?

Buying extended warranties is like shopping for a car. You have to get the best price from your dealer.

The smartest way is to get on-line quotes and see if your local dealer can beat them. Two great sources are:

CHRYSLER SERVICE CONTRACTS

http://eservicecontracts.com

Also, you can get the 7-year / 70,000 warranty on an SRT for $1,440- $995 base plus $485 SRT surcharge (list price is is $2,580) from Wittrock Dodge at 1-800-712-792-9234 (ask for Keith Churchill). An added bonus- no sales tax.

hey now....the standard warranty on the SRT vs RT is one of the things that still has me deciding on which to get. I wasn't thinking about these service contracts. That kinda takes the warranty concern out of the equation if I can get a good deal. Nice!!!!

It may be cheaper for a SE than for the SRT8..

The original price was over $2000 for the lifetime bumper to bumper
I offered $1000 and after some more negotiating we settled on $1395..

But whatever price you pay it depends on how long you plan on keeping the car..
I plan on keeping mine for the rest of my life so it was a very easy decision..

What happens to extended warranties if Chrysler does not make it as a company?

That question (about Chrysler's future) is EXACTLY why I'm sitting on the sidelines waiting this out. I too plan on keeping my Vanishing Point forever, but if Chrysler is just weeks away from going out of business, then I don't want to hand over $2000 to them this week.
