If you go to the thread "R/T Fans Rejoice" and click on page one about the Popular Hot Rodding article. On page two of that article it says that trailer towing is not recommended for the SRT and the SE and R/T are limited to 1000 lbs.

You would be surprised at all the cars in Europe with little trailer hitches on them. Ive seen everything from big Mercedes to little Fiats and Renaults with them. The Europeans dont buy pick-ups for personal use. Instead they get these little trailers to pull around. They rarely even use them for work applications. Ive seen a couple of the little Nissan and Toyotas, but anything bigger is usually driven by an American service member stationed here. I guess my point is that you can attach a towing hitch to just about anything.

That's probably because Toyota is too busy selling its small pickups to warlords in Africa and terrorists in the Middle East. Apparently, it's a snap to mount a .50-caliber machine gun on one. ;)
