Default RE: Front End Plastic

I would rather have ridgid plastic or steel bumpers like the old ones. All i was saying is it felt cheap.

Ok for starters dont start out a sentence with Silly me! It doesnt leave any room for discussion on that point! lol!! Your right, the front end is designed to flex with pressures. This helps the car aerodynamically at higher speed. With no flex built in you get more of the force of the air pressure against the body and therefore adding resistence. When the body flexes it conforms to the pressure wave and reduces friction against the skin.
Boy I really did not want this to be my first post but when I read it I just could not get past the thought of WTH? Flapping plastic helps aero resistance????????????????? I need to pass this on to our SCCA World Challenge race team.
