I tried to order the carbon stripes from Dodge but the 1st ones they shipped were black. They said that I had to prove that I had an 08 to get the carbon. So, I have a guy who looked them over real good and is good with graphics. He said he would never do it again and that if anyone asks I made them myself due to copy infringement problems. So, I made them myself, He made them or I tricked Dodge. Sorry I can't get anymore specific on this subject.

 

Hard to prove an R/T is from the 08 Model year I guess, haha. But this most likely answers one of my biggest questions about the 09s. I want to know for sure what the stripes look like before I purchase my hockey stripes from ridergraphix. If the hood stripes are carbon, I wont get the side stripes. If they are flat black, then its on.

 

I think these are the part numbers from the 1st stripes Dodge sent. They were black. 68020362AA and 68032368AA.

 

The Carbon stripes are- 68042867AA and 68042868AA.

 

They did the same thing way back with the "small" Shelby Charger, old girl friend had to show proof that she owned one before they would place an order. (Whatever) And, a friend who lives on the dark side and drives a "Bullitt" Mustang had to do the same thing over at a local Ford dealer...............I guess they are trying to keep people from "building" one of their own.

 

I got an R/T emblem before Christmas. We finally had a day above freezing that wasn't raining. I have a friend who does bodywork, so I used his heated garage. After I put it on, he walked over to look at it and said the trunk lid was low on that side and he adjusted it. If you look at the before picture of the spoiler the day it was painted, you can see that it was low at that time. It was obvious after he pointed it out. Anyway, I think the R/T emblem looks good.

I bought it on E-bay. I used the buy it now for $29.99 plus $2.95 shipping. The ad said it measures 4 1/8 wide and 1 3/4 tall. It is a stick-on. It comes ready to stick on. The outfit I bought it from is Firestone Collectibles. Their E-bay user name is Mopar 9999. They have an E-bay store and list a phone number of 678-792-7839. Let me know how it goes.
