Did not the old chargers have hurst shifters as an option? I think it is a cool concept and you are right, I associate hurst with GTO and in some ways be like having a Shelby Challenger (that would be cool too).

I think having a hurst challenger would be something to consider. We should follow Elliot's example:

Production is scheduled to kick off in 2009. Prices will be $10,000 to $20,000 above MSRP.
Ok, so about 40,000 MSRP + 20,000 Hurst + 20,000 Market Adjustment (and you know they will) = 80,000 Total
Hmm, think I would go with a Z06.

This is not the first time Hurst has been associated with a Mopar. The 1970 Chrysler 300H wore the Hurst colors. I love the old “Fuselage” body styles. What I am hoping for out of this is a genuine Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter for our modern Challengers.

Ewwww I don't like those beige stripes.
People don't use beige on hot rods and performance cars.

I wonder what the hp numbers will be for the Stage 1, 2 and 3 models?

I would assume that the Stage 3 would have a turbo or supercharger.

Could the long-awaited 6.4 be offered??

Surely those are gold stripes, that's always been Hurst's color.

We'll see what kind of upgrades are involved, but it looks overpriced. Looks like 10K for a fancy trim package, more if you want actual performance enhancement.

My thoughts exactly. While it is easy to get excited about a Saleen, Hurst, or Hennessey Challenger it is going to be expensive.

It is tough enough to get an SRT or maybe a limited edition 2009 SRT but buy that and upgrade it myself and have fun doing that.

You guys with the extra money can have those more expensive cars.
