I picked up my 2009 R/T today......
I took delivery of my 2009 R/T late this afternoon. [sm=bounceybounce.gif]
I felt like a kid in a candy store until they released the car to me.
It is a TORED, with NAV/MYGIG system, Electronics package, and sunroof. (I got home after dark, I will post pictures tomorrow)
Man oh man - what a fantastic looking car. Kudos to Dodge for the outstanding retro styling.
Initial impression: BIG CAR. LARGE cruising machine. Very comfortable seats, great A/C, great brakes, decent handling, great sound system.
The R/T is NOT a speed demon (thus far-maybe better after break in). It's quick, but nothing like the SRT8.
Very quiet (too little exhaust music) very smooth, solid feel.
I like the simple yet elegant interior. Huge trunk for a muscle car.
Lots of learning needed to master the NAV/MYGIG system. I am looking forward to installing the LOCKPIK system soon.
I installed wheel locks and a locking gas cap before I left the dealer.
The 18" wheels are really beautiftul - very close to the look of the concept car. The tires are Michelin Pilot - excellent choice from Dodge.
I stopped for dinner on my way home from the dealer, and a crowd formed immediately upon parking. I was sitting next to a $95,000 Porsche 911 and a $65,000 Corvette Z06 - yet my car had everyone gawking. Lots of bang for the buck with this Challenger. Our cars are rare indeed !
Classic R/T side stripes from Rider Graphix will be installed this week. Gotta have them to complete the true R/T look.
MINOR COMPLAINTS: There are some items that are kind of cheap looking. Examples: when you fold down the back seats - the backing material with velcro is chincy. The plastic wheel shrouds are cheaply done. A prop rod in a $40,000 car ? Come on Dodge install a few gas struts for this kind of money. Flimsy rear bumper cover that will certainly flop around at high speed.
I will post some photos tomorrow..............

Interesting. I have many of the same comments as you regarding my own 08 SRT: the size (inside and out), the exhaust is too quiet (cat back on order), and I just installed the side graphics.
Enjoy your car!
