Default Just order 4 Challenges today!

They just opened up the ordering for the Challenger, 6.1 Hemi, 5 speed auto in silver, black or Orange.
MSRP of $41,985 plus dealer mark up fee's. No you can't order the stick and the only options are 20" tires, MyGig and Sunroof.

$41,985 is the price with all the additional options; mygig, sunroof, and tires. 40,095 would be without any of those. . . I'm pretty sure 100% of those 4,500 they're making will be loaded.

The higher price probably factors in the GGT. I assume all dealers will order them completely loaded as well. If you're looking for rarity, get one without options.

The more important question is: what are you selling them for? MSRP? If not, prepare to get flamed by the entire community.

There's nothing wrong with him selling for over msrp. Just wait for them to start being produced in mass quantities and the prices will come down. I'd imagine by Fall 08 you'll have no problem getting one for msrp. It really doesn't matter anyway since they've all been presold.

There is a problem with selling it for over MSRP. It is a perfect example of why people hate car dealers. Only the meat market dealers charge over MSRP. Respectable dealerships do not take on this practice.

MSRP. . . manufacturer's suggested retail price. The car can be sold for whatever the fair market value is. Nobody has a problem when they sell it for less than msrp. It is the same concept. Dealer's are selling the car for what the customers are telling them it's worth. If you do not feel the price is fair then don't buy the car.

For the few people that are buying these first runs Challengers they are o.k. with getting there heads ripped off. They know what they are paying for. For the rest of you, wait it out, it could be awhile. The new Chrysler is not going to mass produce this car or any other car in the line up between the three brands. They have a plan to only build what the dealers order. That means for us (the dealer) we are no longer going to be stuck with old age new inventory and the market will not be flooded with too many of the same models.
Look at the 4 door Wrangler, supply and demand of that model means I can still get $2,000 over MSRP on everyone and they have been out for well over a year now. Every dealer in my market is doing the same thing. This is good for the customers because of trade values on those units. You get a higher trade value when it comes time to trade.
You complain about price, you complain about how much the dealer is giving you for your trade right? Go buy a dealership and make the decision on how to sell cars.
