Default Labor Day musings

1. I had a nice weekend, pool party and BBQ at my uncle's, most of family was there.

2. Installed garage door opener here at home. I bought this house from a cabinet maker. He did great upgrades on this house, and built huge garage which he used as workshop, but never parked a vehicle inside. I wanted convenience of opener so bought one and installed it. The garage is a bit customized, 8 foot tall door, but regular height rafters, a tight fit for clearance. Also the goofy safety beams were tricky, and the door down tension needed adjustment. I also need a 4 foot extension cord to reach where I put the outlet, not realiziing the 8 foot door required the opener to be positioned further back. I am happy with the end result of project.

3. At Walmart, a new toy for the collection: Hot Wheels 1 :32 scale RC Challenger in orange, in display box

4. Magazines to post
AutoWeek 9/1/08
Car Craft 10/08 Challenger goes into production (Duh) and pg 67 photo of car hauler full of challengers.

Car Craft 9/08 lucky to find still on the rack p18 "Who will buy Challenger, pg 19 about police crackdown on Street Racing in Malaysia, and p 61 ad for K & N filters

Hemmings Muscle Set 08 pg 10 "production line" report

Also I have orders in for copies of San Fransisco Chonical and Washington Post as listed here on forums

5. 1970 Challenger has a fluid leak... looks like driver's rear brake cylinder...rats...but it ran and stopped to move it out of garage for install of opener

Oh...anything else...????

Oh yea!!! I pick up my Hemi Orange 2008 SRT 8 Tomorrow morning!!!

I'll bet some of those things were the Wife's idea (if -U-have one) to get you out of the house because you were driving her CRAZY..
OR
It was your idea to stop yourself from going crazy..
(btw, it is 4:30 AM here and I bet you are awake looking through the worn out brochure,, you're prolly at the dealership already..) anything to pass the time..

Congrats Steve!

Guess we won't be seeing any posts from you for a couple more days...I think that is the typical response (no response) when each of us pick up our cars!

Congrats, I know it's been a long time coming. I spent my day doing a different kind of "dodge", as in dodging a major hurricane. [sm=yikesomg.gif]

Yankee, keep safe and out of the rain.

Hannah looks like it will miss the Gulf Coast but you never know about Ike.

For Labor Day all I did was clean out my 3rd car garage...........hopefully in preparation for the future Plum Crazy monster.
