I went to a local car show today at Hooters sponsored by the local Mustang club. 130 total cars. 3 Dodges in one class: Best Mopar.

My 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 vs. 1997 Dodge Viper vs. 2007 Jeep Cherokee SRT8

I have lost my voice because I chatted with so many people. People came to the show to see my car. The mustang owners next to me were pissed because they setup the show and I stole the limelight.

Are you kidding me? I had a crowd all day. I am MAD.

 

Dont take it too serious... Its a mustang show. You show up, show them up and piss em off... what do you expect!!

 

The Jeep was probably a chase vehicle for the Stang's that broke down

 

You suppose they voted it to pay honor to the mighty Jeep?

 

Maybe a Stang one best at 4 x 4 show...

 

Mustangs are common as dirt.
It's not worth getting mad about.

I can understand the frustration. My father and I have been working hard to restore a classic car, and whenever we enter it in shows, something in worse shape with worse lines always seems to do a whole lot better. But, what can you do? Be happy that, no matter who is taking home the trophies, the Challenger was obviously the star of the show. Just makes me wish mine would get here sooner!

 

Don't tell me you entered a brand NEW car in a car show?? I went to one on the 4th of July, didn't bother to enter it. I merely went to show it off. It upset lots of people because they wanted me to enter it including the judges. I just gave away about 85 trophies and didn't want any more.

 

It was not a classic car show, the oldest Chrysler product entered was a 1997 Viper.

I was asked by the organizers of the event to enter the car. The same way the local Mopar club has asked me to join in their monthly cruise nights. Do I not belong there either?

People want to see the car, might as well have a protected venue for them to admire.
