I vote screw the mileage, put ANY Hemi in there and put one aside for me.
Complaining about mileage with a car like this is like being married to a supermodel and complaining that she can't cook. LOL
I know you guys aren't seriously complaining about the mileage, like it's a deal-breaker, just giving you a hard time.

RE: MDS - Must have?
I don't think the 4.7 should have a 6-speed...
This is how I would do it...
SE - 3.5L V6 HO
SXT - 4.7L V8
Rallye - 5.7L HEMI V8 (Optional MDS)
R/T - 6.1L HEMI V8
SRT-8 - 6.4L HEMI V8
Wow, that's a lot of options, lol... maybe too many?

RE: MDS - Must have?
Yeah, too many choices.
Perhaps we'll get ONLY Hemis in this bad boy. They could offer all three in the varying trim levels.
That'd work too.
...and yeah, Caprice, I was thinking about it over the weekend and came to the realization that I want the 6.4 liter Hemi in there and mileage be damned. I'll teach those GTO & Mustang kids a thing or two! [sm=lildevil.gif]

Like? 5.7 MDS SE Trim level, w\auto. $31,995........., 6.1 MDS R\T Trim level, auto or manual 5 speed $33,995............, 6.4 "KILLER BEE" package, 6 speed manual $37,995. Just what I've been thinking about, but I think it sounds reasonable. Thoughts?
Hey Strat, just noticed the post designations are changed! Thanks!

RE: MDS - Must have?
i think that 31,995 is a bit high for the 5.7L....the hp to weight ratio isnt much better than the Gt stang, if at all, for an extra 4 grand.

I was just figuring what a 5.7 Charger MSRP is and going from there. I don't think they'll price it below a 5.7 Charger for fear of siphoning sales away from it. Plus they'll probably charge a little more, new model and all you know.

RE: MDS - Must have?
They should stick with retro all the way.... Rallye for the base, with 5.7 MDS; T/A with the 6.1, and the top dog, the R/T with a 6.4, the same way as it was in '70. I know that's too much to hope for, because DCX wants the SRT's to be the top of the line performance option across the board, but we can hope...
I don't think that this car should be looked at as any competition for the Chagnum.... the folks buying this car aren't going to be shopping for a bloated grocery getter sedan, and vice-versa. It should be priced below the Chagnum just to be on the same level as the Mustang, which is it's true competition.
