Modification Wish List

Ok this is my list so far....

To be done ASAP:

1) CAI (C&L) Found a good Combo Deal (here!) (Ordered!)
2) Diablo Predator Tuner (To adjust tuning for other mods) (Ordered!)
3) 180 degree Jet Thermostat (The 6.1 runs too hot stock and suffers from heat soak beyond 190) (Ordered!)
4) Adjust Cooling Fan Activation temps & Disable Skip Shift feature. (w/ Diablo Tuner)
5) Wheel Locks & Locking Gas Cap (Purchasing from Local Auto Supply)
6) Mopar Car Cover (Getting for Free from Dealer)

To be done as funds permit:

6) ALL-Gig Lockpick (w/ Backup Cam)
7) Challenger Door Sill Covers
8) Black Retro Hockey Stripe style B (Rider Graphix)
9) Red Challenger Windshield Logo style B (Rider Graphix)

To be done eventually:

10) Get stock wheels polished? (Mirror Finish Polishing)
11) Zoomers Cat Back system (When back in States...German Laws too strict)
12) Kooks Headers (Low Priority)

That should do it. What do you guys think? Did I miss anything important?
Feel free to post your personal list or Comment on mine.

(Editing the list as we go.)

RE: Modification Wish List

Some nicer CAI kits include the tuner because the better CAI allows so much air in the stock engine computer cannot compensate for that.

If I get the CAI, I will get it packaged with the tuner because they were designed to work together.

If I get a complete supercharger kit, then the tuner and CAI also come packaged with it along with the fuel injectors as well.

I may have just changed your list.......sorry about that.

Have fun in Germany. I hope to visit some day.

RE: Modification Wish List

I agree with Jeremiah in the fact you want the CAI prior to the tune. The 180 stat should be installed prior to the fans being set for lower cooling.

I would do the CAI, 180stat and tuner as the first level mods.

RE: Modification Wish List

-Ok Bump up the CAI to ASAP and purchase Tuner with kit if possible. Im liking MOPAR and K&N Right now.
-Oh and I forgot to add a locking Gascap!

What temps should I set the fans to for the 180 degree Thermostat?

RE: Modification Wish List

The main thing is plan for it, budget for it, then execute. Take pictures along the way so you know how far you have come.

If you don't do this you not get the results you wanted, if it ever gets done because you didn't have enough money.

Many car projects are abandoned because it was never really planned accurately nor budgeted properly and the money ran out.

Please post pics as you execute.

Best Wishes!

you my friend found wrong exactly what I found wrong with it. Needs a little lift in the back and lowered in the front just like the old ones.

Of course that may affect the aerodynamics and car handling on the corners, but if you want it more for that dragster car look then that is what you need.

My old Challenger had hydraulic shocks in the rear so I could raise or lower it with a little air pressure.

You may be able to tell it was raised in my avatar of my sublime Challenger.
