RE: Modification Wish List

Modifications I plan:

1. 1970-style insignia (have in hand).

2. Locking gas cap (need to buy).

3. When original tires wear out, look for raised white letter models.

That outta do it.:D

RE: Modification Wish List

The main thing is plan for it, budget for it, then execute. Take pictures along the way so you know how far you have come.

If you don't do this you not get the results you wanted, if it ever gets done because you didn't have enough money.

Many car projects are abandoned because it was never really planned accurately nor budgeted properly and the money ran out.

Yup, this car is deffinately going to cut into my R/C Helicopter Budget. Oh well, I had to put them in storage anyway before coming to Germany. No room for them here. Beside, I would have had to buy all new radio equipment to comply with German frequency regulations.

When it comes CAI the Mopar one may look nicer but after comparing with K&N the kn has better air box and the filter is larger so you can get much more air through it.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Switch the turn signal and fog lights

If it's doable, I'd definitely go for that. God intended turn signals to be at the bottom! ;)

Of course that may affect the aerodynamics and car handling on the corners, but if you want it more for that dragster car look then that is what you need.

My old Challenger had hydraulic shocks in the rear so I could raise or lower it with a little air pressure.

You may be able to tell it was raised in my avatar of my sublime Challenger.
wow for some reason to me I always thought ur avatar was yellow. Man I must be blind or the pic quality isnt great.

Yes, that picture was taken in 1976 and and with a 110mm camera those cameras were not focused all that well.

When I joined the forum in 2006, I searched for those pics and had them scanned in so I could have a permanent copy that would survive with time.

Yes, I had the car painted with a brighter sublime color and the 1972 color I thought was the best. The photo has aged and with scanning it does look a little yellow.

When I got the car it already had the rear air shock system in it and the valve stem was in the trunk. When I wanted to raise the rear of the car, I aired up the shocks via the trunk. The valve was always clean and out of the way. Easy to day compared to today microcontroller based air systems.

RE: Modification Wish List

I want to start with my base, The Orange 09 R/T. Old Style badges. Get the T/A hood and install that, remove the ram head and have that part flushed up, paint that area in front of the hood flat black. Get the Spoiler painted flat black, Get T/A side stripes. And get flowmaster exhaust and have it ran right in front of the rear axle. I am still looking for classic looking wheels. Performance wise, I will have the exhaust, I will get a K&N Air box, After market chip, and the my gig unlock. It will be my 2009 Dodge Challenger T/A

RE: Modification Wish List

My wish list will be on going one item at a time but quickly ! May I ask for everyones opinion on exhaust as I intend to go the next day after delivery of my 2009 R/T and have the exhaust changed and I want the loudest exhaust I can find. Right now from the sound bites that I have heard the loudest so far is the LOUDMOUTH from SLP engineering in Toms River NJ and second would be the ZOOMER cat back system from California somewhere. Any and everybody please chime in and give me your opinion.[sm=feedback.gif]

Thanks Fat Cat[sm=gears.gif]

PS : then a CAI air fiter kit

then a thermostat change

then the fan switch upgrade

then some R/T stripes of some kind

then the doors sill upgrade

then paint the real spoiler black

and so on and so on he he he [sm=smiley2.gif]
