New Challenger.. price/color..
So I am thinking about getting the new challenger and I can not find
a web site or anything that says the cost.
I heard it is going to be about 40,000-45,000 is that true?
Also, I only see the orange colored challenger, is there any other colors??

First of all, I welcome you to the site Lemhi. Now as far as the price is concerned, it isn't going to be produced until around March of 2008; therefore, the price is not offical yet. That is something we debate about a lot. There are going to be other colors; however, I'm not sure what all the other colors will be for sure since I really don't pay very much attention to that as much as I pay attention to the engine offerings.

Welcome, Lemhi. As they've said, all pricing info is speculation for now. FWIW, the July issue of Car & Driver predicts the price range for the Challenger to be $25,000 to $35,000. They're probably talking MSRP and pre-options. These guys talking $40K plus here are in it for the really hot Challengers. Me, I'll take a lukewarm $35,000 model.

Much has been said on this board about dealer markup over MSRP. For that, YMMV. Since finances require I wait 'til year 2 anyway, that doesn't mean as much to me.
As for colors, nobody knows yet. But its fun to speculate/wish!

Nothing official yet on the price.
However, the July 2007 issue of Car and Driver magazine is quoting a range of $25-35,000, depending on engine and options.
This, of course, does not include the dreaded dealer mark-up. If the price is excessive the first year, it may be better to wait for the 2009s.

I was at the local auto mall today killing time. I'm sort of in the market for a new winter car and wanted to know what news they had of the Calibre SRT 4. Nothing concrete, but at least I now know that there will be enough head room - even with a sun roof. Anyways, we got to talking about the Challenger and the sales guy said they had already 5 people put down $10k. I asked what he thought they would be selling for, and he said about $70k CDN (about $65k US at current exchange). I sure hope that's not right or I won't ever be able to get one!!! [:'(] [>:]
The plum crazy Charger RTs are starting to appear on dealer lots.
