Yea apparently it had to do with the fact that mygig comes in an options package that also includes remote start. . . . which is a bad thing to have with a manual transmission. So there will be a different options package for the manual that doesn't include the remote start.

Yeah, I guess they can't recommend leaving a manual transmission car in neutral in order for remote start for potential liability (thanks frivolous law suits), because if that were not the deterrent, I think the mechanics of determine whether a car were in neutral before allowing remote start to actually try to engage would be a rather trivial task to engineer.
