Default Orange Day, the grins contiinue

Mine is # 5042.

Absolutely great. The power is responsive, the ride quiet and firm (better than any of my Lincoln Mark VIII's). Gets looks, that's for sure! Local Lincoln Park cop pulled over then followed me real slow, then around me with Thumbs up. Got followed by one cop or another to almost all my errands after that. Did a very small burn out behind my warehouse, followed ESP shut off instructions from forum, just used the auto, not the slap shifter. Still need to read owner's manual, and bet someday I'll lock myself out until I get used to the key fob and not pulling key out of ignition. Programmed the home link

Photos for you guys of my two.

in the 1970, you sit lower and the RT scoop is taller and larger...it is more imposing in its view than on 08

in 1970, you feel it when you stomp on it and you get slammed into the seat, not so much with 08, but feel the response just the same...maybe more

in 1970 you can kiss the steering wheel with your teeth on a hard stop,as the body pitches forward, don't hardly feel body pitch on hard stop in 08

Exhaust note is louder on 1970, rumble is more subtle yet sinister on 08

Need to contact SRT experience.

One tiny scratch near drivers window just above door handle. There was a guy at gas station looking inside my car when I came out with newspaper...I wonder... I think it will buff out if fill with pigmented scratch out. Sometimes the littel ones are best left alone. Dealer did prep wash, but not detailed, I'll let car cool in garage before going over it.

I think the one exhaust outlet (driver's side) is tilted a bit more than other side.

stevelegal, congrats on you new baby! I have to say though, it seems that you have the best of both worlds there! Good luck with the new one and take care of the old one.

"I think the one exhaust outlet (driver's side) is tilted a bit more than other side."

That's an easy fix with a socket, rachet and rubber hammer or make the dealer do it.

I'm thinking of ordering the pistol grip shifter.

I think hood pins on the 08 would be not good.
