OWNER IMPRESSIONS
No wonder you almost never hear from anyone again after they get their car! Got mine yesterday the 18th at 1 pm est. and I just got out of it! Dealer delivered to my door (cuz he wanted to drive it I am sure) I have 234 miles on it now and started to get on it a little bit since 100. Impressions
Watched it drive up to me and almost fell over (orange) Pictures=no justice.
After initial awestruckism and shock was disappointed in exhaust note. Very quiet at a standstill.
All that goes away the first time you get on it. How did they do that?
Interior is gorgeous amenities equal some high end foreign cars. So many toys you have to read the manual to figure them all out. Still discovering new fun stuff as I go. Seat is awesome!
Am glad I didn't wait for the 5 gear, the slapstick is just as much fun and no clutching in bad eastern traffic.
Haven't done a full burnout yet but easy to get both tires to chirp on launch.
The front spoiler chips EASY. Got a small chunk out in the first 100 miles. Don't tailgate (impossible cuz you always catch up to those ahead of you quick) but hey...I warned you.
Handles UNBELIEVABLY WELL. And no I didn't say for a muscle car...ANY car.
Do not stop somewhere and expect to make a quick getaway unless you want to look like an as%$&. A crowd will quickly gather, if not sooner, and they don't leave or you cant tell if they left because a new one walks up every minute or so. Be ready to lift the hood a hundred times. The trunk occasionally too. (yes I think there is room if your girl is not too tall)
Cant say enough good things about it.
Bad things so far; brake dust on the wheels inside and out is unbelievable, and I downshift alot.
Cop will stop you and scare the crap out of you by asking "are you in a hurry?" whence you reply "I didnt think I was going THAT fast" upon he will say "no I mean are you in a hurry to get where you are going?" to wit you say "no not really" when he undeniably will say "good because I really want to look at your car". At which point you are so happy you will stay there for an hour if thats what he wants. The reason being that you can bark one off when you leave him and he will just laugh!
Watch out for camera phone users at 75 MPH. They have a tendency to drift. Your hair will be slightly windblown, cuz there is no way you can drive this baby with the windows up, but make sure you at least have a clean shirt on.
Make sure and set the garage alarm. If they read this forum, they may figure out how to find us.
Finally, let your friends drive it...why should you alone get to have this most incredible experience? Watch em while theyre doing it, it might make your day!
Steve
PS...Dodge Challenger=no work done

LOL that's great! I can't wait to get my car. I know for a fact that I will have the only Challenger in the Wiesbaden area. And as far as I know MossOnaRoc and I will have the only SRT8's in Germany! Once it is broken in, I'm heading for the Autobahn to really get a feel for this beast. And hopefully when I get a long weekend, I can take a drive out to Nuremburg. If I don't kill myself in the process, Ill post my experiences here as well as a tally of all the high end BMW's and Audis I pass! I wouldn't be suprised if on my first drive, I get an offer from a German national to purchase my Chally for 2-3 times the value! Of course, Ill have to respectfully turn him down.
Your right about the cameras, I had some guy and his wife follow me for 2-3 miles taking pictures and another guy dig around his car for a camera (I thought he was getting a gun and was going to jack me) and start taking pictures at 60mph on the highway.
This read made my day. I'm stuck at work today and will not be off until Sun. That is just awsome as to the experience you can expect. SKiDs33t you will have the ultimate driving experience no doubt. Autobaun at excessive cruising speed
Now thats how an SRT-8 Challenger is supposed to be driven
Kick some Euro butt

Does it appear that the front spoiler can be removed? Unfortunately, I couldn't climb under the SRT8 I saw to take a good look. If it is, I'm taking it off my SE.
