I am hoping with the trunk and hood being shorter which I liked better on the concept that the weight is lighter.

Production version looks awesome. Price consideration will probably force me to the R/T. Better to have a 5.7 in the driveway than a 6.1 in repo
It has been reported on allpar that the R/T will not have hood striping and only 18" wheels (20" wheels wil be an option). If you like the striping, you could always order it from parts.

I am looking at the side profile & appears the production door goes down further than the concept. Anyone else seeing that?

for them to say you wont even notice the difference between the concept and the production car is just dumb there are significant differences that a blind man could see i am sorry but IMO this car doesn't live up to the concept

We all know that concept cars are always better than production models because they do not have cost or safety constraints. I never expected to see carbon fiber body parts or neon tailights. I did expect to see different bumper treatments because of government crash test standards.

Overall, however, I think that Dodge gave us a great car.

I already bought a Challenger key chain. Now, all I need is a $40K key for my Hemi-Orange SRT!

Concept cars are one off's built with little to no constraints due to cost, safety, etc. What everyone needs to understand is that this car does have a target audience and thus a target cost. Use of exotic materials or high technology just doesn't always fit within the cost constraints because people won't pay for it and the cars won't sell.
