RE: Questions for 08 owners who have there cars
This is a response to the brake dust issue. I had a 2004 Neon srt4 and it produced a lot of brake dust as well. When the srt engineers were available on srtforums we all asked about this problem. They said they were working on it and had a few possible solutions in the works. I heard that the problem got better on the 300, Charger, and Grand Cherokee SRT8's. I will have to wait until I get my car to see if the Challenger is better. This is a known issue with srt vehicles and it looks like we will have to live with it. My srt4 wheels looked like I had driven through mud when I returned from a "spirited" drive. The braking was so good that I just grinned and bought a vat of Mothers.

Yeah, It's only the 08 owners manual. Lol, what a mistake. Even when you go and watch the 08 Challenger video on the Dodge site it shows the FOBIK "with" the X2 button. I guess it isn't there after all....

UHHHMMM OKAY...don't believe everything you read.
Has any STOCK 2008 SRT8 Challenger owner been able to remotely start your car from 1 to 300 ft away?
Probably becuase your FOBIK doesn't have the X2 button!

It does, it's in the manual. You use the X2 button on the remote. Don't scare me like that..Lol..........

Actually the 08's do not...they do not have the button on the FOBIK from what I've read.

Don't forget the car comes with remote start too (auto stick). Works from 300 ft. plus away. Cooooollll......

You should be able to get an after marker RS by adding a chip to your OEM security system. I did that with my last car but, forgive me for this, it was an import..

How do you plan on automatically disengaging the clutch to accommodate the remote start? I assume that's why it's not available.

Er, what? What is in the owner's manual that will automatically disengage the clutch to allow for a remote start? I'm getting a 6-speed so if it's possible to safely remote start it, that'd be great. But, I just don't see how it's possible.
