It may be a smart electronic deal, but I don't like it. My 2004 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi does it too. I was taught not to rev up a motor while it is cold. Sometimes if the engine has set a few days, I would like for some oil to get to the upper end of the motor before it revs like that. Has modern technology negated that theory or is it still true ?
